Takeaway: The Covid 19 Corona Virus is here and spreading fast, here’s my full CoronaVirus Survival Kit List.
You know, I really hate to say this…but it looks like shit has officially hit the fan, or it will be really soon. If you don’t have a bug out bag, and home supplies for a few weeks or even a month, now’s the time to stock up.
I’ll be honest, I did NOT want to write this blog post – I’ve never been the type to capitalize on fear (our lovely media does a wonderful enough job of that for us), but if you haven’t been watching the news, or seen the empty shelves at your grocery store yet, then listen up. You’re free not to, of course.

CoronaVirus Survival Kit List – Here’s What You Need
The good news is, you can get most of this from Amazon.com, and most of their sellers are doing a good job at keeping the essentials stocked up and shipping quickly (for now).
As you know, pandemic emergencies can transpire just about anyplace in the world. New virus strains can swiftly spread from person-to-person, and pose a medium to severe health hazard to all people, particularly those with weak immune systems. Remaining prepared for a pandemic crisis, whether it be the flu or something as severe as the coronavirus, can protect the well-being of you and your household. Protect yourself from contagious viruses by having a crisis kit ready to go when you require it most.
Essential supplies for a pandemic emergency include water purification tablets, anti-bacterial towelettes and other personal sanitation goods vital for living through a likely quarantine. But gear is not the only type of equipment needed for these circumstances. When it is risky to go out you’ll need a long-term supply of food and water.
With the above being said, I’ve broken this down into 3 main categories:
- Emergency Gear
- Food
- Emergency Necessities
1.) Emergency Equipment
If shit really does hit the fan, and you need to bug out (aka, get out of your house quickly), it’s important to have a fully stocked bug out bag for you and your family ready to go. You can read our full bug out bag list here, but we’ll list some of the essentials here as well:
Emergency Gear & Supplies
Buy a few of these, keep them in your car, or house, or someplace you can access them quickly if you need to get out in a hurry.
Cooking Supplies
And a few more…
Emergency Heat Source & Fire Starters
Don’t get caught in the cold.
Heat Reflective Blanket
Again, don’t get caught in the cold – these are lightweight, easy to cram into your survival kit or bug out bag, and can be a potential life saver in colder climates or weather.
Means of Purifying Water
We take fresh water for granted, but if the system were to go down, or you had to leave the house in a hurry – having a Means of Purifying Water is literally life saving.
2.) Food & Water
It’s important to have at LEAST 2-5 weeks of food & water for your ENTIRE FAMILY. But seriously, keep this private and DON’T brag or share with your family & friends how much you’re prepping – PLEASE don’t make yourself a target.
Personally, we have a mix of freeze-dried survival food, cans of soup, pasta & pasta sauce, protein bars, mixed nuts, and of course bottles of water. You can pick these ALL up on Amazon.com too, so you can avoid the crazy lines at your local store.
3.) Emergency Essentials
Here we suggest picking some emergency essentials, such as first aid kits, etc.
Anything we’re missing? Let us know down below. Good luck, be safe, and don’t brag about what you have stored up.
